Foscoe Companies. One With The High Country.

Echota is the thoughtful creation of Foscoe Companies, a real estate development company comprised of Foscoe Realty and Development, Foscoe Construction and Foscoe Rentals. Considered by many to be the leading developer of mountain resort living in the High Country, Foscoe Companies has built a reputation for integrity and environmental stewardship. The company is headed by its founder, president, and a favorite son of the High Country, Mark Harrill.
Mark has strived to preserve as much of the land’s natural beauty as possible during his more than 20 years of real estate experience. His self-proclaimed mission is to blend homesites into their surroundings, allowing everyone to enjoy the splendor of the High Country. Mark began his career marketing real estate over 20 years ago, which enabled him to explore the development business from the inside out. This valuable experience taught him the proper way to finance, develop and market real estate products that meet the expectations of discerning buyers.
Mark began his development career in 1991 with the Sugar Cottages. This small residential community was an immediate success. He had a minority interest in Southern Skies, a residential subdivision located in Foscoe, North Carolina and soon after developed Hemlock Village, a small log cabin community also in Foscoe. Mark later developed the Hawks Peak Condominiums in Seven Devils in the late 1990’s, a project that consisted of three components totaling 66 homes. Next, Mark transformed the old Snow Cloud Inn into The Inn at Hawks Peak, converting the inn into 16 individually owned condominiums while donating the commercial portion to his church. Just prior to Echota, Mark created The Lakes Community, a beautiful Log Cabin community consisting of 74 finely crafted homes nestled in a quaint, wooded setting.
Mark Harrill is currently focusing all of his time and effort on Echota and a new phase of development. He has a great vision for the future of Echota while preserving the unspoiled beauty of the natural surroundings. A resident of the area for more than 40 years, Mark lives with his wife Missy and their two sons, Jay and Brad.
